Hanoi was pretty great, with all of the amazing art and street food (see below). But now it’s time to move south. Next stop: Da Nang. If you’re looking at this awesome map someone drew at the hostel, I’m moving from the top of the eastern coast of Vietnam (marked Halong) to the middle (Da Nang).
Da Nang is located halfway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It’s was previously best known for being a historic French Colonial port, but now it’s known for its chill vibes and pretty beaches. It’s also known for having beautiful mountain passes, the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam, the insta-famous hand bridge, and of course, more specialty dishes. More to come on all of these later …
