Halong Bay

February 7, 2019

My second day trip out of Hanoi was to the famous Halong Bay, a world heritage site famous for limestone mountain islets and also Vietnamese pearls. I also became friends with 3 students from Tokyo, so we went on our boat ride and cave exploration together.

This was my last planned day around Hanoi, so while I was in the cave, I spontaneously booked my flight to the next city: Da Nang. It’s a pretty strange but exciting feeling to randomly choose a new city the day before you leave. Onto the next city!

Miho, my new Japanese friend!
